LONE TREE, Colo. — Police made an arrest Thursday night of a driver suspected of causing a fatal crash on C-470 at Yosemite earlier in the day.

Lone Tree Police detectives arrested 20-year-old Erin Finn at a home in the 1000 block of Ingalls St. in Lakewood at 7 p.m.

According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, eastbound C-470 was closed at South Yosemite Street at approximately 4 a.m.

The suspect had originally told police her vehicle, a white sedan, was stolen by a man she met Halloween night who helped her get home.

Lone Tree Police indicated the other vehicle involved in the wreck was a silver SUV traveling eastbound on C-470.

The white sedan was traveling west when police said it crossed over the highway into the oncoming traffic in the eastbound lane, colliding head-on with the SUV.

The lone occupant of the SUV, 51-year-old Dennis Dolce, was pronounced dead on the scene. Witnesses say they saw someone running toward the movie theaters from the scene of the crash. It was surprising since the suspect’s vehicle flipped onto its top and had extensive damage.

Pictures showed the severity of the accident. The driver of the SUV was killed instantly.

Finn was being held in the Douglas County jail on charges of vehicular homicide.
