LOVELAND SKI AREA, Colo. — Loveland Ski Area plans to open for the season Tuesday. The first chairlift heads up the mountain at 9 a.m.

The weather has allowed the snowmaking equipment to do its job and get the run covered with enough snow to open for business.

The park crew will have five features ready: mini wall ride, lift tower rail, single barrel shotgun and two flat boxes according to Dustin Schaefer of Loveland Ski Area.

Arapahoe Basin opened for the season on Wednesday, Oct. 17.
