Hundreds of people attended two prayer gatherings Tuesday night for Jessica Ridgeway in two communities especially impacted by the 10-year-old's disappearance.

The pastor of Rock Creek Church in Louisville organized the "Light Up the Night for Jessica" gatherings.

People gathered after nightfall at Community Park in Superior, which is at Indiana St. and Coalton Ave. and at Kensington Park in Westminster, Countryside Dr. and Moore St.

The searches have been most intense in Westminster, near Jessica's home and school, and Superior. Authorities found a backpack belonging to her on a sidewalk in a Superior neighborhood Sunday.

People came together with flash lights and candles to "light the way home" for Jessica. They also wore purple and green ribbons. Purple is Jessica's favorite color and green is associated with child disappearances and searches.
