Race for the Cure encourages alternate transportation Sunday

DENVER – The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure will cause some traffic delays on Sunday. It is advised that you arrive early and avoid the rush.

Participants are encouraged to take public transportation in order to get to the Pepsi Center on Oct. 7.

Light rail lines C and E will stop at the Pepsi Center/Elitch Gardens station starting at 5 a.m., and they will continue to run every 15 minutes until noon.

Shuttle buses will also be running from Chatfield High School, Arvada High School, and Smoky Hill High School.

There will NOT be a pickup at Cherry Creek Corporate Center this year.

Starting at 6 a.m., there will be five metro-area Park-n-Rides with direct bus service to the race. For more information on any RTD service, visit rtd-denver.com or call (303)-299-6000.

Parking is free on streets downtown on Sundays.
