LARAMIE, Wyo. – One person was killed in a seven vehicle crash on an interstate east of Laramie Saturday morning.

Troopers said dense fog and black ice on the roadway contributed to the crash. It happened near the Vedauwoo Interchange at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

Two tractor-trailer trucks were totally consumed by fire, according to troopers. Investigators continued to search the crash scene for additional victims.

Four victims were transported to nearby hospitals, and one of those victims was taken to a hospital in Colorado.

Eastbound I-80 between Laramie and Cheyenne will remain closed due to the ongoing investigation. Westbound I-80 remains open.
