LITTLETON, Colo. -- iPhone enthusiasts lined up the Apple store in Littleton Thursday night, eagerly awaiting the release of the newest version of the smartphone set for Friday morning.

"I love camping out," said Jason Davis, who set up an inflatable couch and sleeping bags outside the store Wednesday night. "Any time I get a chance to come hang outside the Apple store, I'm all for it."

But for those not as committed to an iPhone 5, other smartphone options are available.

Experts at a local AT&T store tell us Samsung's Galaxy S-3 and Motorola's Droid Razr Maxx offer similar features at competitive prices.

"We're not here to sell a particular phone," said Kevin Biln, an AT&T manager. "We're here to service the customer and give them the best solution that fits their needs."

Potential smartphone buyers can also wait until the holidays, when many companies offer service plan discounts.

Charles Tendell, a cyber expert, also says buyers looking to save money can buy the iPhone 4s.

"It's going to be slightly cheaper, you're going to be able to get some of the same software features that you would get for the newest one and you would get a feel for it and how it's going to work," said Tendell.
