Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is the first novel from American author Ransom Riggs. It's the tale of Jacob Portman, a young man who hasn’t quite figured out what he wants to do with himself.

In his quest for meaning in his life, he becomes drawn into the grizzly murder of his grandfather. In order to reconcile those memories of a fallen family member, Jacob and his father take a trip to a small island.
