DURANGO, Colo. — A lengthy investigation by Durango Police and the Department of Homeland Security ended with the arrest of a man whose home computers revealed 2,700 pornographic images of children.

Police arrested Jeffrey McMahon, 51, for sexual exploitation of a child, which is a Class 4 felony. He is being held on $250,000 bond.

Authorities said they obtained a warrant to search McMahon’s home and place of employment, which turned up 2,700 images of nude and semi-nude teen and pre-teen girls.

None of the photos are among the victims police believe McMahon has sexually exploited. In fact, authorities said, none of the photos are believed to display the likeness of any child in the United States.
