Motorcycle crash closed EB U.S. 36 in Westminster. Aug. 22, 2012

WESTMINSTER, Colo. — A motorcyclist lost control and crashed on eastbound U.S. 36 near Sheridan Blvd. Wednesday night.

The motorcycle driver was killed.

Westminster police say the motorcycle hit a concrete barrier and crashed. The rider was hit by at least one car and possible up to three different vehicles.

Police say alcohol is suspected as a factor in the crash.

Eastbound U.S. 36 was closed between Church Ranch Blvd. and Sheridan during the investigation.
