Aurora shooting, police chase end with one dead, four injured

AURORA, Colo. – One woman is dead and another injured following a shooting Saturday night that ended with a fatal car crash at the intersection of E. 13th Ave. and Pontiac St. in Denver.

Police say they responded to a shooting in the 1100 block of N. Clinton St. around 11:00 p.m., where they found an adult female who had been shot. She was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers attempted to pull over a suspect vehicle near the scene, but the driver failed to stop and led police on a chase.

The pursuit ended at E. 13th Ave. and Pontiac St. when the suspect vehicle crashed into another car. The female driver of the second vehicle was rushed to the hospital where she later died from her injuries.

The victim’s identity was not immediately available.

Three suspects involved in the crash were transported to the hospital with minor injuries and remain in police custody.
