AURORA, Colo. -- Friday's shooting has sent families scrambling for help.

One victim's friends are helping support a man who is in the hospital after getting shot in the face. His wife is also in the hospital Monday night. She's in labor about to give birth to their first child.

Caleb Medley remains in critical but stable condition following Friday's shooting. Friends describe the aspiring comedian as a bright man with a long recovery ahead.

Before the shooting Caleb and his wife Katie were preparing for the birth of their first child, a boy expected to be named Hugo.

Since the shooting, the couple's medical bills have grown substantially and friends are fearful they could reach into the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

"Everybody is just praying right now trying to hold it together for Caleb's recovery," said David Sanchez, the father of Katie Medley.

Friends have setup an online donation website where the community and others can help to contribute to the young family.
