GREELEY, Colo. -- She taught Spanish for 20 years in Greeley. But now the popular high school teacher admitted to having a sexual relationship with a student and then getting pregnant.

The Northridge High School teacher told the judge Wednesday she just wants to go home to her children. She wants to see her three "kids for a while" and then she'll "do what she needs to do."

Her 1-year-old daughter is the child of the former Northridge student. Eisenberg taught there for the last ten years. Her family says she made a mistake.

"We're devastated," says her father, Rueben Aschliman. "Of course everything is turned upside down. Nothing is going to be the same after this, but we're still here for her."

The 17-year-old victim lived in the same house with Eisenberg frm 2010 to 2011. She became his legal guardian when she brought him to the U.S. to go to school. That happened after she became friends with his parents during a trip to Mexico.

Police say she told them that she and the boy had sex about 30 times between June and September 2010.

"When she came in she made forthright statements and we developed probable cause for the charges and she was booked without incident," says Greeley Police spokesman Lt. Carl Alm.

Eisenberg became pregnant and gave birth to a girl a year ago.

She's on administrative leave while under investigation for felony counts of sexual assault on a child in a position of trust and assault with a pattern of abuse.

"Really shocking and disappointing news to hear of the investigation and the subsequent arrest yesterday morning of one of our employees," says Greeley-Evans School District spokesman Roger Fiedler.

Eisenberg worked in the district for 20 years after graduating from Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

Her mother told reporter Dave Young she's taking care of her children and that Eisenberg made a mistake that will cost her her career after having a spotless record.

The former student is now 19 years old. Eisenberg says He's active in the one-year-old's life.
