DENVER — The president of Mullen High School will be leaving at the end of the month.

In a letter sent to parents on Thursday, the school announced President Ryan Clement has decided not to renew his contract, which expires at the end of this month.

He faced sharp criticism when the high school fired its popular football coach, Dave Logan.

Carl Unrein will take over as Mullen president July 26th. He graduated from the school in 1972, and most recently he served as president and CEO of the Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation in Denver.
