LITTLETON, Colo. — A body that was recovered from Chatfield Reservoir Wednesday has been identified as a man who had evacuated his home during the Waldo Canyon Fire, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s Office spokesman Ron Hanavan said the man was camping with friends when he went missing June 30.

His body was discovered in Loop C at the reservoir.

Foul play is not suspected.

Police cannot confirm the identity of the man until the completion of an autopsy, which is expected to be finalized Thursday afternoon.
