How to make Taquitos

The Blue Bonnet’s baked taquitos are the perfect answer to a quick meal that the whole family will eat. Using leftover chicken, meat or fish makes this recipe resourceful and flavorful.

Chicken Taquitos (makes 16)

Ingredients / Tools

16 White Corn Tortillas

2 Cups Shredded Cheese (your choice flavor)

1 pound poached chicken and shredded or diced (you can really use anything to fill the taquitos such as meat, chicken, fish, veggies or even sweet potatoes or mashed potatoes!)

Canola oil and brush

Sour Cream


  1. Preheat over to 350 degrees F.
  2. Place a sheet of tin foil on a baking tray. (makes for easier clean up)
  3. Roll about an ounce of filling (such as poached chicken) into the tortillas and place the folds face down so they stay closed.
  4. Roll all 16 tortillas and then brush them with canola oil.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes.

Dinner is served.
