The New York City Health Department is considering a law that prohibits the sale of sodas and other sugary drinks that are larger than 16 ounces.

The products are linked to obesity and other health problems.

A spokesman for the New York City Beverage Association criticizes the plan, saying, “Soda is not driving the obesity rates.”
