Carbon monoxide threat forces Denver high-rise evacuation

DENVER- High carbon monoxide readings forced the evacuation of the 11 story Versailles Condominiums at 8th & Clarkson Thursday evening.

Management believes construction work at the building’s pools may have caused the carbon monoxide levels to rise, said Denver Fire spokesperson Phil Champagne.

Several floors were evacuated for precaution and the safety of the residents said Champagne.
