AURORA, Colo. – A 52-year-old man died after being pinned underneath the truck he was working on in his driveway.

The accident occurred Thursday around 3:45 p.m. when the truck “appeared to have come out of park while the male was underneath the vehicle,” according to Aurora Police Sgt. Craig Baumfalk.

The victim was pinned under the left front tire and family members were not able to push the truck off him.

A neighbor who saw the accident was able to use his vehicle to move the man’s truck so family members could free the victim.

He was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

Baumfalk says the accident doesn’t appear to be criminal in nature. The investigation continues and a mechanical inspection of the victim’s truck will be conducted.
