HOLLY, Colo. — The southeastern Colorado cantaloupe grower linked to last year’s deadly Listeria outbreak filed for bankruptcy on Friday, the Denver Post reports.

Jensen Farms cited numerous wrongful death lawsuits as a key factor in its decision to file for Chapter 11 protection.

At least 32 people died and dozens were hospitalized after consuming Listeria-tainted cantaloupe from Jensen Farms.
