RIFLE, Colo. — Colorado State troopers arrested two homicide suspects wanted in Arizona during a traffic stop near Rifle Tuesday morning.

Allen Robinson, 31, and Susan Gonzales, 30, are suspected in a fatal shooting in Phoenix on May 6.

“Investigators from the Phoenix Police Department had reason to believe that Robinson and Gonzalez would be traveling through Garfield County today,” said Trooper Nate Reid. “The investigators contacted the Colorado State Patrol to assist with the pair’s apprehension.”

Two children, an 11-year old boy and a four-year-old girl, were also in the vehicle during the arrest and were taken into custody by the Colorado Department of Human Services.
