ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – Peyton Manning has one of his favorite targets back.

The Denver Broncos on Monday signed former Indianapolis Colts and Broncos wide receiver Brandon Stokley to a one-year deal, NFL blogger Jason La Canfora reported.

In addition to being former teammates, Stokley and Manning are said to be close friends. Manning stayed at Stokley’s Denver-area home when he visited the Broncos prior to signing with the team.

After the Broncos’ first official conditioning session Monday and before the Stokley signing, Manning told reporters he would welcome the addition.

“Any time that management wants to add good football players to this team, I’m all in favor of it,” Manning said.

Stokley’s most productive season was 2004 when he and Manning connected on 68 receptions for 1,077 yards and ten touchdowns.
