HOT SULPHUR SPRINGS, Colo. --   It was a scary situation for three children in Hot Sulphur Springs who were stranded in on icy river Saturday afternoon.

A man who spotted the kids stuck on the ice was able to pull a 10-year-old boy out of the frigid Colorado River water just west of Pioneer Park.

An 8-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl were still in the water when rescue crews arrived.

Witness video by Josh Skelton captured firefighters using a raft and ladders to rescue the two other children.

All three were taken to the Middle Park Medical Center for evaluation.
