More record heat possible this weekend
DENVER — If this March seems strangely warm to you, it’s not your imagination.
Over 1400 record high temperatures were set across the eastern and central U.S. this past week. In fact, so many records fell that the National Climate Data Center computer server crashed on Wednesday due to the high number of visits.
With another dry weather system headed our way, the big question will be whether or not more records will be set in Denver over the weekend.
Here’s what we’re looking at:
Saturday’s Forecast High Temperature: 76°
The record for Saturday: 76° set in 1896
Sunday’s Forecast High Temperature: 79°
The record for Sunday: 79° set in 1998
Monday’s Forecast High Temperature: 77°
The record for Monday: 84° set in 1971.
Stay tuned for more mild weather this weekend!AlertMe
