A Light Rail train hit a car at Kalamath and Speer in downtown Denver

DENVER — The driver of a car that was in a crash with a Light Rail train was lucky to walk away without any injuries.

It happened around 7 p.m. at Kalamath St. and Speer Blvd. in downtown Denver. The driver’s side of the car was damaged.

Fire trucks and an ambulance showed up, but there were no injuries. Kalamath was partially blocked while Police investigated the crash scene, and a tow truck loaded up the wrecked car to take it away.
