LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — 23-year-old James Edward Griffin of Fort Collins has been arrested for allegedly distributing child pornography, according to a Larimer County Sheriff’s representative.

Griffin was arrested Thursday.

Investigators with the Loveland Police Department and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office independently notified the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office in February that they had identified an address in unincorporated Larimer County from which someone was possibly distributing child pornography.

“Law enforcement analysis further supported that the files distributed did contain pornographic images of children,” Larimer County Sheriff’s spokesman John Schultz said in a statement.

Griffin faces two counts of sexual exploitation of a child for the possession and distribution of child pornography.

He was booked into the Larimer County Jail and released on a $10,000 bond.
