DENVER — Elitch Gardens announced Thursday that three new rides will debut when the theme park opens this summer.

Two of the new rides will be aimed towards children while the enclosed water slide is better suited for thrill-seekers.

Tube Top water slide features a double spiral, zero gravity funnel that drenches visitors with 4,000 gallons of water. Once completed, the purple and yellow slide will be visible from I-25.

On the new Rockin’ Tug ride families can enjoy a sea-faring experience that simulates the motion of ocean waves. Kids can also enjoy the rush of the open road on Tike Bikes, a new motorcycle ride.

Elitch Gardens is slated to open May 5.
