Shoplifter head butts Target security officer

WESTMINSTER, Colo. – Authorities are offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a shoplifting suspect who injured a Target security officer with a head butt.

The incident happened on Oct. 23, 2011 in Westminster.

Police say the suspect was stopped for shoplifting outside of the store and began fighting with the security officer. He ultimately head butted the employee, breaking his nose, according to Denver Police spokesperson Sonny Jackson.

Target managers believe this same suspect is responsible for another shoplifting incident 3 months earlier.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male, 20-25 years old, 5’7”, heavy set with short hair and glasses. He was seen driving a black four-door Honda Civic, and also a black SUV, possibly a Ford Explorer.

Witnesses also report seeing a Hispanic female, 17-20 years old, and a small child in the car seat of the Civic.
