AURORA, Colo. -- Rumors are swirling that Apple will announce its new iPad 3 Wednesday, and there’s at least one person who’s pretty excited about that.

Tara Rex of Aurora launched her business, Taradara, in 2010.  She makes unique cases and covers for the Apple gadgets, and now you can even spot some celebrities using them.

“They’re all one-of-a-kind, so a lot of people love that,” Rex said.  “They love all the vibrant colors and fabrics that I use.”

Just two years in, she found her business booming and her cases in the hands of celebrities at the Golden Globe Awards.

“I think that’s pretty cool. How did I do that?” Rex laughed.

She said it’s been all about persistence.

“I’m one of those people that if I say I’m going to do something, it’s going to happen,” she said.

She also has great motivation.  Rex has two young sons, whom she is also teaching to sew, so she gave up one great career for another.

“I’m an ER nurse and so being at the hospital, it’s not something you can just drop and go to your son’s school,” she said.

Turning vibrant fabric and thread into covers, cases, and more gave her that freedom.  She believes anyone can do it.

“You find what you’re good at and if you’re good at it, then tell the world about it,” she said.

Rex is always happy to help others.

“I reached out to other people and they helped me, so I’m so more than willing to help other women or moms,” she said.
