COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A teenager was in critical condition Wednesday after he jumped onto the hood of a moving vehicle and then fell off.

Colorado Springs Police say the young man was with three other teens who were in a parking area on the south side of Palmer Park.  That’s at Academy and Maizeland. The teens range in age from 16-17.

One of them received a serious head injury when he jumped onto the hood of the car, and then fell off and hit the pavement just before 9 p.m. Tuesday. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital in critical condition.

Investigators say the incident will likely result in charges for the driver related to Careless Driving Resulting in Injury.
