LYONS, Colo. — Firefighters have control of a wildfire in Lyons sparked an evacuation order for 42 residents in the area of 900 Stone Canyon Road Wednesday evening.

Residents were told to evacuate to Lyons High School, according to Commander Rick Brough.

Strong winds were blamed for fanning the fire into 10 to 15 foot flames and the fire scorched about 20 acres.
