GREELEY, Colo. -- Jesse Burnett, 33,  of Greeley is set to head to the NBA All Star Game in Orlando. He is one of 12 Special Olympians who will play in a very special game at half-time next weekend.

"I am so grateful to my coach for getting me into the game," said Burnett. "I am just so honored to be picked to represent the Western All Stars," he said.

Jesse has been playing sports with Special Olympics Colorado for 20 years. He says the program has allowed him to learn several sports, but basketball is his true love.

"I wish the Denver Nuggets would have drafted me," says the 2-3 swing man. "I hope to put in a few for the folks here in Colorado who have helped me over the years."

The six West All Stars will play with NBA stars, past and present, of that Jesse says, "This is the game of a life-time!"

Jesse and his crew leave late Thursday night and will be in Orlando through next Sunday.
