LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A reported carjacking ended close to Lakewood Police headquarters and city hall Thursday.

A pizza delivery man told police he was carjacked just after midnight in the 4100 block of S. Syracuse St. in Denver.

Police spokesman Sonny Jackson says the delivery guy’s cell phone was in the car, and he was able to use the phone to track the movement of his stolen vehicle.

The victim’s car was spotted right across the street from Lakewood Police headquarters near Alameda Ave. and Wadsworth Blvd. at about 6:20 a.m. according to Lakewood Police spokesman Steve Davis.

Officers happened to be in role call, so several of them responded. Davis says three suspects were taken into custody. Officers “tased” one of them and paramedics took him to a hospital. No officers were injured.
