LITTLETON, Colo. — Convicted Illinois Governor Rob Blagojevich will soon call himself a Colorado resident.

Blagojevich will begin serving his 14 year prison sentence next month at the federal correctional institution in Littleton.

The disgraced politician was convicted on corruption charges relating to the sale of President Obama’s Illinois senate seat back in 2008.

Blagojevich and his legal team asked for the Colorado prison because of its reputation for being less crowded and violent than other low security federal prisons.

Blagojevich is scheduled to arrive in Littleton March 15.
