KDVR and KWGN offer internships for students at their junior or senior level of education who are interested in broadcasting careers.

Students will have an opportunity to perform duties in the fast-paced environment of a news gathering operation. KDVR and KWGN offer the unique experience of working where two television stations are housed in the same facility, broadcast two morning shows simultaneously, produce and air two daily entertainment programs and provide three and a half hours of nightly news coverage.

Internships are offered in the following departments: News, Production, Master Control, Creative Services and Sales.

Internships are offered during the fall, spring and summer semesters and correspond with the standard academic calendar year. Application deadlines are August 1st for the fall semester, December 15th for spring and May 1st for the summer.

Internships are available in Master Control. In this position you will learn and operate the Brutus automations system, maintain and adjust broadcast logs, transmitter operation and readings, monitor satelite feeds, work with bunet systems, compusat, mpls, etc. Work various shifts.

This internship is offered during the fall season and the application deadline is December 15th.
