KDVR /KWGN offer internships for students interested in broadcasting careers.

Students will have an opportunity to perform duties in the fast-paced environment of a news gathering operation. KDVR and KWGN offer the unique experience of working where two television stations are housed in the same facility, broadcast two morning shows simultaneously, produce and air two daily entertainment programs and provide three and a half hours of nightly news coverage.

Internships are offered in the following departments: News, Production, Master Control, Creative Services and Sales.

KDVR/KWGN internship program will pay Colorado’s hourly minimum wage and can also be for university or college credit.

To be eligible:

  1. You must be 18 or older and a registered student in good standing at an accredited college or university
  2. Students must be have completed their junior level of education
  3. Must be able to work the hours required by the department (Depending on assignment, hours may include early mornings, evenings and/or weekends.

To apply, provide a cover letter, resume and proof of school registration to the address below. If interested in receiving college credit for participating in this program, include a letter of credit written by your advisor that confirms you will receive college credit for the internship. Applications will not be processed without these items.

Internships are offered during the fall, spring and summer semesters and correspond with the standard academic calendar year. Application deadlines are August 1st for the fall semester, December 15th for spring and April 1st for the summer.
