Tom Green has anchored the Emmy award-winning Daybreak on Colorado’s Own Channel 2 for more than 15 years now.

Tom is a longtime news and sports veteran within the Denver market, with more than thirty years experience and 10 Emmy awards.

Tom made the transition to news anchor when he joined KWGN in 2001, after three years as the main sports anchor at KMGH-TV. Tom’s experience includes everything from play-by-play, color and sideline reporting, to hosting “Sports On Tap”, a sports game show for ESPN. Tom also hosted afternoon drive sportstalk radio for KKFN with Nuggets legends Doug Moe and Dan Issel. When he first came to Denver, Tom spent 13 years doing sports for KUSA-TV, after working at ESPN in Bristol, CT during the network’s formative years.

In addition to 10 Emmy awards, Tom was named the Colorado Sportscaster of the Year 4 times by the National sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.

Tom grew up in New York, and attended Ithaca College.

In his spare time he enjoys playing golf.
