As co-host of “Colorado’s Best”, Paula Haddock is thrilled to feature a variety of local entrepreneurs, businesses, charities, and deals. Paula spent 20 years reporting and anchoring news in several markets, including Denver, Memphis, Tulsa and Colorado Springs. She has been recognized with numerous awards, including two regional Edward R. Murrow Awards for coverage of Columbine. While in Colorado Springs, Paula helped launch a consumer advocacy franchise, recruited and trained a 20-person volunteer staff, and recouped millions of dollars for consumers in southern Colorado. The franchise still exists today.
Her recent investigative reporting in Denver lead to the arrest and conviction of a fake attorney, defrauding a dozen Denver area families out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. He was convicted and sent to prison. After the conviction, Paula received this email from the Colorado Supreme Court Office of Attorney Regulation, which said, “Thank you for all of your hard work … without your initial report our office and the Denver District Attorney’s office may not have heard of Mr. Ragusin’s schemes until many other consumers of legal services had been injured. Your reporting provided a great service to Colorado.”
Paula has called Colorado “Home” for 17 years. She fell in love with Colorado as a young girl, spending many summers with her family in the Colorado mountains. Paula and her husband Jim live near downtown Denver with their two dachshunds.
