Local climber summits Mount Everest

COLORADO - Fort Collins resident Jim Davidson summited Mount Everest on May 22nd is now home with 10 fingers and 10 toes.

"The weather forced us to wait 12 days in Basecamp before going for the summit.  I realized patience is passive perseverance," Davidson said.  Jim blogged about this hard wait on his website.

Jim attempted Everest two years ago but his climb was cancelled after an earthquake rocked Nepal and Mount Everest. Mount Everest is the tallest mountain on Earth at 29,035ft.
