Crews put out fire in southwest Fort Collins

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Firefighters extinguished a fire burning west of South Taft Hill and Harmony roads on Thursday afternoon, the Fort Collins Police Department said.

Police said the fire broke out west of JJ’s gas station about 2 p.m. It burned about a 600-foot area. Fences, four sheds, the corner of a house and a small RV camper burned, the Poudre Fire Authority said.

Taft Hill was closed between Harmony and West Trilby Road. Traffic lights were also out at Harmony and Taft, and Shields and Trilby.

No evacuation orders were issued, the Poudre Fire Authority said.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
