‘Almost Sunrise’ documentary follows Iraq veterans on 2,700-mile journey to fight depression

DENVER -- The documentary "Almost Sunrise" follows two Iraq war veterans, Tom Voss and Anthony Anderson, who were tormented by depression for years after they returned home.

Voss and Anderson were pushed to the edge of suicide and the documentary follows them on a 2,700-mile walk from Wisconsin to California as they "reflect on their haunting experiences of war."

The Denver Film Society is offering a free screening at the Sie FilmCenter on Wednesday fro 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 2510 E. Colfax Ave. Free parking is available in the garage located behind the Sie FilmCenter.

Donations will be accepted for Rocky Mountain Honor Flight and matched up to $30,000 by Alpine Bank.
