COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning, the Commerce City Police Department said.
The crash happened on Quebec Parkway just south of Highway 2 about 5:20 a.m.
Police said the driver of one of the vehicles was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene. The second driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital.
Southbound Quebec was closed at Highway 2 as crews investigated the crash. One lane of northbound traffic was getting by the scene, but traffic backed up in the area.
The name, age and gender of the person who died was not released.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. It’s not known whether drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors to the crash.
