Police searching for armed robber who hit Valley Bank and Trust in Brighton

BRIGHTON, Colo. — Police are searching for an armed man who robbed a bank in Brighton Wednesday.

It happened around noon at the Valley Bank and Trust on Bridge Street.

The suspect was armed with a handgun but there were no reported injuries, police said in a statement released at about 2 p.m.

The suspect is described as about 30 years old, Caucasian, heavy set with short dark hair and a goatee. He may have left with another male in a white sedan.
