DENVER -- Some Denver Broncos players were busy Monday night reaching out to local veterans.

The team held a gaming tournament to help those in the military enjoy a little relaxation time.

20 members of the Broncos participated in the "Pros vs GI Joes" event at Park Meadows Mall. We're showing it to you as part of our ongoing Problem Solvers Serving Those Who Serve project.

Colorado National Guard members and their kids had a 'Madden' showdown with the football players.

The event organizer launched this charity nine years ago to give vets a unique experience. At the same time, pro athletes get a chance to say "Thank you!"

Several NFL teams help make these events possible.

The one in Denver Monday night was the 11th Pros vs. GI Joes showdown in the last three weeks.
