ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — An important member of the Broncos offense skipped practice Monday, for a very important reason.

Emmanuel Sanders and his wife, Gabriella, are expecting their second child “any minute.”

The timing is interesting for two reasons — this just happens to be a bye week for the team, and it’s almost exactly nine months since the Broncos won Super Bowl 50.

“Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders was the only Bronco on the 53-man roster or practice squad who was not on the field when the late-morning session began; the team excused him from practice for the pending birth of his child,” the Broncos stated on their website.

The couple has an adorable young son named Princeton Emmanuel Sanders, who already has 18,300 followers on Instagram.
