DENVER — If you want to do something other than shop on Black Friday, you can get out and explore as admission will be free to all Colorado state parks on Friday.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Great Outdoors Colorado and the Colorado Outdoor Recreation Industry Office are teaming up to make it happen as part of #FreshAirFriday.

“It is a longtime Colorado tradition to get outside,” Colorado Parks and Wildlife Director Bob Broscheid said. “This Black Friday we invite you to start a new family tradition of enjoying the Colorado state parks together for free if you aren’t shopping.”

There are 42 state parks in Colorado.
