Police: 10-year-old stabs older brother in argument over cigarettes

FOUNTAIN, Colo. — A 10-year-old stabbed his 20-year-old brother during an argument over some cigarettes, the Fountain Police Department said.

The older brother had a minor stab wound on his arm. He was treated at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs and released.

Responding officers said he refused to press charges against the 10-year-old.

The case will go to the El Paso County District Attorney’s Office for further consideration.
