Woman killed after being struck by vehicle in Boulder

BOULDER, Colo. — A woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Friday night, the Boulder Police Department said.

The crash happened near 30th and Pearl streets.

The Boulder County Coroner’s Office said Tracy Jenkins, 50, died at Boulder Community Health after the vehicle hit her. She was identified as a transient in the area.

The Daily Camera reported police said she was walking in the pedestrian crosswalk between Pearl Street and Mapleton Avenue when she was hit.

There was some discrepancy between the driver and a man walking with Jenkins as to whether the crosswalk lights were on.
