DENVER - It is billed as the ultimate food fight, and a Denver chef will be there competing at the World Food Championships.

Jeff Gebott is the chef and general manager of Southern Hospitality Restaurant in Denver. He qualified a few months ago to be one of 450 chefs and cooks to compete in the World Food Championships next week in Orange Beach, Alabama.

At stake: $100,000 and of course, bragging rights.

The World Food Championships is the largest competition in food sport, where champions of previous events gather for a chance to win.

The 2016 World Food Championships will feature dishes and teams from around the globe. Categories include: Barbecue, Chili, Sandwich, Burger, Dessert, Bacon, Seafood, Steak and Recipe.

Jeff says his dish is still a secret. We will keep you posted on his progress.

#yummy thanks @jeffgebott for coming in studio! Good luck @worldfoodchampionships !
