ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips gave his own update on his condition Wednesday after a San Diego Chargers running back plowed into him on the sideline during Sunday’s game.
Phillips was in good spirits Wednesday. He returned to practice earlier this week.
Chargers running back Melvin Gordon crashed into the coach during a play in which the Broncos’ Bradley Roby returned an interception for a touchdown in the 27-19 Broncos win.
Phillips was taken to the hospital, checked out and released later Sunday.
