One injured in 2-vehicle crash at Tower Road and Pena Boulevard

DENVER — One person was seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash near Denver International Airport on Monday morning, the Denver Police Department said.

The crash happened on Tower Road near Pena Boulevard, police said.

One person was taken to a hospital with serious bodily injuries. It’s not known if the passengers in the second vehicle were injured.

Northbound Tower Road was closed at Pena Boulevard as police investigated and worked to clear the crash.

Traffic was getting by in the southbound lane. The road reopened about 8:10 a.m.

The names, ages and gender of the passengers in both vehicles were not released.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
