Police investigating possible drowning in Cherry Creek

DENVER — Police on Sunday morning were investigating a possible drowning in Cherry Creek in Denver.

A man was found in the water near Speer Boulevard and Bannock Street.

Crews were still working to remove the body from the popular recreation area about 11:20 a.m. Several people were stopped on the sidewalk above the path as police put a ladder in place.

Police have not provided any additional details about the deceased man.
